⚠️ LOCATION ALERT: This position is based ONBOARD A CRUISE SHIP sailing international waters. You must be willing to travel and live on board for 6-9 months. This is NOT a land-based job in Florida.

The Role: The Galley Utility is the heartbeat of the ship's culinary operation. You will support the Executive Chef's team by ensuring the galley (kitchen) environment is safe, sanitary, and efficient. This is a physically active role that serves as the primary entry point for a long-term culinary career at sea.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Sanitation & Cleaning: Clean and sanitize all food preparation areas, floors, and equipment using industrial machinery and specific chemical protocols (USPH standards).
  • Dishwashing Operations: Operate high-volume commercial dishwashers, ensuring all china, glass, and cutlery are spotless and returned to service areas rapidly.
  • Waste Management: properly separate waste (food, plastic, paper, metal) according to strict environmental regulations.
  • Chef Support: Assist with basic food prep or equipment setup as requested by the Chef de Partie.
