The Role: We are hiring dedicated Laundry Operators to join the housekeeping teams of major international cruise lines. In this role, you will help manage the massive daily operation of cleaning thousands of items—from guest bedsheets and towels to crew uniforms and table linens. This is a fast-paced, industrial environment that requires focus and stamina.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation: Operate heavy industrial washing machines, dryers, and dry-cleaning units according to safety protocols.
  • Finishing: Feed linens into large flatwork ironers (mangles) and operate steam presses for uniforms and guest garments.
  • Sorting & Inspection: Sort dirty linen by type/color and inspect clean items for stains or damage before returning them to service.
  • Chemical Safety: Handle detergents and laundry chemicals strictly following safety (MSDS) and environmental guidelines.
  • Logistics: Load and unload heavy trolleys of linen to support the cabin stewards and restaurant teams.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial laundry setting (Hotel, Hospital, or Industrial Laundry facility).
  • Knowledge of different fabric types, stain removal techniques, and laundry chemicals.
  • Physical Fitness: Must be able to lift heavy loads (up to 20kg/50lbs), push heavy trolleys, and work in a warm environment while standing for long periods.
  • Basic command of the English language.
  • No criminal record.
